gina brown is busy with a series of appearances at book clubs and workshops in support of her latest novel the sugar bowl feud.
In the spring of 2025, Gina presented at King’s College inaugural Creative Writing & Storytelling Conference in Halifax. Hosted by the Writing & Publishing MFA program, this year’s theme is curation – exploring how storytelling drives curation, and how curation functions as storytelling.
Gina was recently interviewed on The Author Journey, hosted by by Anne O’Connell, owner of OC Publishing in Halifax. They enjoyed a lively discussion about her latest novel, The Sugar Bowl Feud. Check it out here on YouTube.

Join writer Gina Brown as she reads from her second novel, The Sugar Bowl Feud. After the reading, host Kelly Hennessey will interview Gina about her book, the writing process, inspiration and self-publishing. The audience will also be invited to ask questions about the book and writing. Following the session, books will be on sale and Gina will be happy to sign the books.
Note: The launch events are free. General admission seating is on a first come, first served basis. Both libraries are accessible. Buses serve both libraries. Paid indoor parking is available under the library in Halifax, and there is free street parking nearby. In Dartmouth, there is free outdoor parking at the library.
